Number 2 Group, vRAF

 

Number 2 Group, also known as the Air Combat Support Group, is responsible for all of the vRAF's Tactical and Strategic Airlift Assets.

 

Headquartered at RAF High Wycombe and run by a virtual Air Vice Marshal, 2 Group provides a global transport element for the organisation, as well as providing a strategic airlift function for both the vRAF and other organisations.

 

The Group consists of:

- Number 10 Squadron (RAF Brize Norton; Lockheed Tristar, Airbus Voyager)
- Number 99 Squadron (RAF Brize Norton; Boeing C17 Globemaster III, Lockheed C-130 Hercules)

    vRAF Air Command is pleased to announce the development of VAPTAMS, the Virtual Air Force Personnel, Tasking and Management System. VAPTAMS has been developed in house to give our pilots a better, more efficient way to operate. VAPTAMS is currently in a closed Beta and is expected to be available to all in the near future.
